The Montgomery County Disc Golf Club (MCDGC) is a local non-profit organization dedicated to playing and promoting disc golf in Montgomery County, IN. Membership is open to anyone who is interested in disc golf and in serving their community. MCDGC helps to maintain the Milligan Park DGC, working closely with the Crawfordsville Parks and Recreation department. In addition, the MCDGC runs leagues, 2 nights per week, throughout the year, and also sponsors local, state, and fund raising tournaments.
Milligan Park is a 22 hole, par 3 course. It's well maintained and respected by disc golfers according to Disc Golf Course Review. It's somewhat shorter than most courses which makes it beginner friendly. At the same time, a variety of terrains and shot selections keep it interesting for more advanced players. The MCDGC runs leagues, 2 nights per week throughout the year, and also sponsors local, state, and fund raising tournaments.
Disc golf is a fun sport for all ages and skill levels. The object is to throw specialized golf discs from a tee pad, into a basket, in as few shots as possible. The game is free to play in Milligan Park. The MCDGC and its members are available to run or assist with events for any group or organization that would like to give disc golf a try.
